Physicians determine a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease by reviewing a patient’s medical history, neurological and psychological tests, physical exams as well as a brain scan. A test measuring levels of protein in spinal fluids has often been found to be an accurate test to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease.
